  • Are magnetic Wireless Tow Lights Submersible When Used On Boat Trailer
  • You are correct. The Roadmaster Wireless Tow Lights are weatherproof and can be used when driving through snow or rain, but they are not submersible. They should be removed before launching your boat and then remounted when you pull the boat back on the trailer and ready to tow it again.

  • Are Bulbs Replaceable on LED Light Kit for Post-Style Boat Guide-Ons
  • The LED lights are sealed so they are not replaceable on the LED Light Kit for Post-Style Boat Guide-Ons # CE27656A. That said, LEDs are made to last for years or over a decade depending on your usage. And for a boat trailer that is only going to see moderate usage compared to LEDs in a home or on a vehicle, there is a far better chance of essentially any other part on a trailer needing to be replaced than these lights.

  • Wiring CE Smith Post-Style Guide-On LED's To Brake Light Circuit Versus Running Lights
  • The LED lights on the CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons # CE27760 do not have separate wiring for only the red portion of the LED Cap Light # CE27656A. They are normally used to act as running lights to make maneuvering the trailer easier in low light conditions as well as providing an extra marker light for other vehicles on the road to better see the boat and trailer. If you would rather wire these lights to your brake lights circuits there would not be an issue with that. Do understand...

  • Will CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons With LED Lights For Boat Trailers Designed For Saltwater Use
  • I called my contact at CE Smith and asked them about the Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers, part # CE27760. They told me the lights are submersible and no worries there. The posts are PVC so that is not a problem either. The L-bracket that the PVC uprights are attached to are galvanized and over time they will be affected by salt water. Rinsing them off will help delay the effects of salt water. You can also paint them before installing that would help a lot.

  • Boat Trailer With 5-Flat plug on 2019 Toyota Highlander with 4-Flat
  • The 5th wire on your boat trailer is most likely tied into a reverse lockout. What this does when you are backing up it doesn't allow the brakes to engage on the trailer. So without it the surge brakes on your trailer will activate when you're trying to back up your trailer. When you try to reverse the surge brake will think you are stopping causing them to activate. If your surge brake has a manual lockout or override then you won't have a problem. If the electric lockout is the only option...
